Directions South Trailhead
Mountain Trail is 5.9 miles long. Dirt bikes and ATVs
welcome with less than 48' axle width. This trail is near
both Lake Burton and Lake Rabun. It is not a loop trail so
traffic is two-way. Some sections are steep (35% grade) and
rocky. There are also many blind curves on the trail.
Consequently, this trail is rated most difficult. A legally
licensed driver should accompany under-age riders who do not
have a State driver's license. Restrooms available.
Moates Knob OHV Trail is 3.3 miles in length and dirt
bikes and ATVs are welcome. This trail is a spur off of the
Oakey Mountain OHV trail.
Camping: The Oakey Mountain OHV Trail system offers a
6-site pull-in campground with tables, lantern posts, fire
rings, available water, and a toilet. Just drive to the
parking area and about 100 yards further is the campground.
